Texas Sand Fest

12th Annual Texas Sand Fest
The show gets bigger and better every year.
IN 2008, we have 24 Master Sculptors from all over the world (Italy, Netherlands, Canada, the US, and the Ukraine).
That makes us THE largest master sand competition in the US! Includes both a Solo and Duo Master's Contests.Over 200 amateur sand sculptors.Three-day Festival. 5 different sand competitions. Draws over 100,000 visitors.

That’s me in the Art Center for the Islands booth, auctioning Pith Helmets painted by local artists. “Party Girl” from Island Woman Boutique is pictured with her friend Carolyn Andrews. Steve, of Steve’s Jewelry Shop, shows his beautiful silver & gold jewelry. Totally Toes, of Austin, decorates festival goers toes with custom fitted toe rings.
The Sand Sculptures were incredible. Take a look and enjoy!

I love sand sculptures. Once I saw terrific mermaid in P-town on the dock. I need a scanner for all these old pictures. Thank you for sharing such a delightful festival.
