Tasty Tuesday... I Love Brownies!

I admit it, I'm addicted to warm, fudgy brownies.
They're not good for me, but sooooo delicious.
Okay, all of these are not edible ones, but they're
all fun and for sale on Etsy.

Click on the pictures for info.

ENJOY, and when you're done, visit my shops:
Beachcombers Cove and The Artful Flamingo.
Thanks for looking.

Beachy Morning on Mustang Island

Its a beautiful morning on
Mustang Island. (Port Aransas, TX)
After spending the night at the Beach Lodge, its time for a walk on the beach.
The water feels soooooo good.

The tide is going out and there's lots of interesting things on the sand. I see many egg casings of the Lightning Whelk, our state shell.

Here's some Sargassum with a Portuguese Man of War.

I found a tiny seahore struggling on the sand.
I gently put him back in deeper water.
I hope he made it.

Here's some shells I picked up. Maybe they'll become jewelry. Now its time for breakfast.

A Nuevo Day!

Nuevo Cafe is my favorite for lunch in Corpus Christi. The poblano soup is wonderful! Going there today for a Birthday lunch, might even have a brownie.

Flamingo Friday

We are not sure the average life of a flamingo. One has been on record to have lived as long as 44 years! Larger birds are usually the biggest threat to flamingos. The eggs and chicks are attacked bymany types of vultures and storks.

In some places in the world, flamingo eggs are
sold and eaten as a delicacy. In Roman times
they even ate the tongue of the flamingo!

At the Sea-Side

At the Sea-Side
by Robert Louis Stevenson

When I was down beside the sea
A wooden spade they gave to me
To dig the sandy shore.

My holes were empty like a cup.
In every hole the sea came up,
Till it could come no more.

Sea Turtle on Mustang Island

Meet Uno, my first live turtle find doing Turtle Patrol for the ARK in Port Aransas, Texas. Uno is a young Loggerhead, not feeling well and needing a little help to recover. He/she was loaded on a truck by Ron Smith and Tony Amos, then transported to the ARK and is resting comfortably.
