Art Teachers at Play

Rockport (TX) Center for the Arts hosts their annual Art Educator Days.
Teachers from all around the state meet to learn new skills and ideas for
themselves and their classrooms. These pictures come from my Wire Pins
and Pendants class. They did such a great job designing their own pieces.

Okay, its not cold here compared to up north, but we're not used to it. Yes, in south Texas we're wimps about the cold. So, I've been working on adding some new things to my Etsy Shop. There's a lampwork glass Sea Turtle set and a bracelet I call the Red Coral Love in a Turquoise Sea.

A Day at the Skate Park

This is our little future X-Games star. Well, maybe not a star, but he's pretty good for his 6 years. The view from the park isn't bad, either. Corpus Christi has done a good thing with this park.

Meet Corpus Gus

Corpus Gus is a proud cowboy hunk of a skinny-legged gull. We call him the “Unofficial Ambassador of Fun” for Corpus Christi, Texas. He has a bit of an attitude, like most Texans and loves his City and State. You can find Gus all over the city. He loves outdoor activities, art, music, and people. He also likes skateboarding at the skate park, talking with shrimpers, getting his board ready for a sail, window shopping on Chaparral Street. After a busy day, he nestles into his perch at the Art Center on Shoreline Drive.

Gus has friends up and down the Texas Gulf Coast and loves to visit them. He shares with them how our city is a fun place to play and a cool place to work and live.

More New ACEO

I love the Art Trading Cards! They are so much fun. I made 4 new ones today. These are prints and listed them today in my shop. Also, I can't help but start collecting them. I've already bought 2 and can't wait for them to arrive. Here are my new prints.

At Work on New Jewelry

I've been hard at work on these new pieces. One is a hand cast sterling silver slide pendant. The other is a lampwork glass and sterling silver bracelet called the Beach Walk bracelet. It has palm tree and a shell lampwork beads.

New ACEO's

ACEO stands for "Art Cards, Editions and Originals." At 2.5 x 3.5, these mini works of art are very collectible and fun to trade and share. These newly created Art Cards are available in my Etsy Shop.

New Flamingo

Back to work today after the holidays. I just finished and listed this guy in my Etsy Shop. He's a fun flamingo that can hang in your window or in your car. He's sure to bring smiles.

Still Learning!

Here's me as a mermaid. If you see me in the Etsy forums, this is what you'll see. I'm still working on add to and improving the blog. I know its not very interesting yet.

New Year

Happy New Year All! I guess I'm celebrating by starting this blog, something I've never done before. As they say, you're never too old to learn new tricks, and I'm learning.
